Architects

For architects wishing to submit a commission for work on a church, I offer the:
First Liturgy Week Architecture for Liturgy I
Second Liturgy Week Architecture for Liturgy II
I presume that architects know how to build a church. I explain what a church is and how its architectural design supports the celebration of liturgy. When you submit a commission proposal, you may include a copy of the certificates of participation signed by the local bishop and myself. I am currently seeking continuing education credit at the master’s level for professionals in the field.
I also offer to architects:
Tours of selected churches of Rome and London.
Upon request I can give guided tours of selected churches of Rome and of London illustrating how the architectural design supports the liturgy celebrated there. Contact me before your next trip abroad.

Artists

Artists wishing to submit a commission for work on a church, I offer the:

First Liturgy Week Architecture for Liturgy I

Second Liturgy Week Architecture for Liturgy II
The artistic narrative of a church expresses outwardly the intrensic menaing of the rites. I present this intrensic meaning of the rites so that the artist may design the artistic narrative proper to a given church. When you submit a commission proposal, you may include a copy of the certificates of participation signed by the local bishop and myself. I am currently seeking continuing education credit at the master’s level for professionals in the field.
I also offer to artists:
Tours of selected churches of Rome and London.
Upon request I can give guided tours of selected churches of Rome and of London illustrating how the artistic narrative interprets the intrensic meaning of  the liturgy celebrated there. Contact me before your next trip abroad.

Diocesan personnel

Diocesan personnel wishing to deepen their understanding of the liturgy, its celebration and meaning as well as the demands liturgy makes on the artistic narrative and architectural desgin of a church, are invited to consier the:
First Liturgy Week Architecture for Liturgy I
Second Liturgy Week Architecture for Liturgy II
I offer the liturgical content that other programs do not. I wrote on the arrangement of churches for the celebraiton of liturgy and so earned a Doctorate in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgy Institute, Sant’Anselmo, Rome, where I now teach, in addition to teaching in London, England and Leuven, Belgium. Other programs for liturgical consultants teach the process of guiding a parish committee through its deliberations, without presenting the content which I give in these liturgy weeks.
Many dioceses depend upon the pastor to serve as the liturgical consultant for building or renovating a church. Pastors may be well trained as competent ministers of liturgy, but few are trained scholars of liturgy and its demands on the arts and architecture. As a result, many newly constructed churches do not look beyond the local practice to a broader liturgical world or to more historically.
